Tangerang Regent A. Zaki lead a gatherining at the opening of the TNI’s 96th Community Service (TMMD) program to build villages in Gunung Kaler district on Tuesday.
Zaki said the implementation of TMMD is part of TNI’s activity agenda organized simultaneously in 86 villages in 62 district of 61 regencies/municilapities across the country is aimed at helping the government to accelerate the development in regions all at once as effort to empower the potentials of community member to enhance ties with TNI at respective defense areas.
“This activity is regularly held annually in cooperation with TNI, the police and the society in synergy to build the remote villages such as road and bridge infrasrtucture, as well as to transfer knowledge to the villagers,” said Zaki.
Tangerang District Military (Kodim 0506) commander Lt. Col. Achiruddin the TMMD, an integrated inter-sectoral program sponsored by the Jayakarta Military Command (Kodam Jaya) in cooperation with Banten and West Java provincial administrations will last for 30 days untul June 1st in Bekasi, Depok and Tangerang Regency.
“The targets of this operational program are physical and non-physical of public facility such as road, worship buildings, bridge repairs including poor residents’ houses,” he said.
The launching of the TMMD program this time was initiated with free of charge health-check service, blood donation, distribution of basic comodity packages to poor residents.
“This activity is very helpfull for the locals. We are very happy,” said Rohayati, 43, a resident of Onyam village.
Physical work in the activity was first focused on building a 625 meters long concrete on Kandawati kampong road with 3.5 meters width and 17 cm thickness.
