Due to the increasing challenges awaiting ahead, Tangerang regent A. Zaki Iskandar asked activists of the regency’s Family Welfare Movement (PKK) to change the way of thinking (pattern of mind) in order to stand strong on par with men without ignoring their nature as women.
“Recognizing the importance of woman’s existence in the development, the regental administration has produced various policy in supports for woman’s role and participation in all developmental programs,” Zaki said while addressing an inauguration ceremony of 13 newly installed PKK chairwomen for district level at the Pendopo building on Jl. Kisamaun, Tangerang municipality on Tuesday.
Zaki told the new district PKK chairwomen to soon consolidate to form new boards, learn the organizational regulations and build a good relation with community members and the administration.
Meanwhile, the regency’s PKK chairwoman Yuli Zaki Iskandar said the inaguration ceremony usually is done in line with district chief replacement because district chief’s wife will automatically take responsibilty as the district PKK chairwoman insupport for the admininstration performance.
Yuli hoped that PKK as women’s organization vessel can encourage women’s capability in various aspects so that doubtful image on women no longer exists,” she said, adding that challenges ahead is to creat positive image on women as development motovator and resources in reaching a quality life.
